Kuber QR code ordering

The next round, ordered from the table

Every table gets its own QR code, and every party you seat gets a 4-digit code. Guests order rounds from their phone. Each round lands on the table’s open order and goes straight to the kitchen.

  • QR ordering is on by default when you seat a party
  • Rounds print to the kitchen and show on the kitchen display
  • A to-go QR at the counter, where guests order and pay

How table QR works

  1. 01

    Seat the party

QR ordering is on by default. Kuber creates a 4-digit code for the party. Show it, copy it or print it on the receipt printer.

  2. 02

Guest scans and enters the code

The QR on the table never changes. The code does. Guests scan, enter the party’s code and start ordering.

  3. 03

    Orders join the table

Guests order as many rounds as they like. Each one joins the table’s open order, right next to what the server rang in.

  4. 04

    Kitchen gets the ticket

Each round prints to the kitchen and shows on the kitchen display. Your listener device plays a sound for every new QR order.

Two kinds of QR code

One for the table and one for the counter. Use either or both. Each has its own switch in your location settings.

Dine-in table QR

A QR for every table, a new code for every party

The QR on the table never changes. When staff seat a party, Kuber creates a new security code for them, and their rounds land on that party’s order.

  • QR ordering is on by default when you seat a party
  • Show, copy or print the code on the receipt printer
  • Switch it off for one table from the order’s settings
  • Download one table’s QR, or all tables as a zip

The guest menu

Guests at the table and at the counter see the menu you already built, with the same rules, allergens and sold-out items. Nothing to set up twice.

Two switches

Turn dine-in QR and to-go QR on or off in your location settings.

Your dietary warning

Write your own dietary warning text for the guest menu.

Guest orders stay as placed

Orders a guest placed are read-only. Staff can still send them to the kitchen and print them.

FAQ

Can anyone who scans the table QR place an order?
They also need the 4-digit code Kuber creates for the party when staff seat them. Staff show, copy or print the code for the table.
Do QR rounds go on a separate check?
No. Each round joins the table’s open order, prints to the kitchen and shows on the kitchen display.
Can staff change an order a guest placed?
Orders placed by guests are read-only on the POS. Staff can still send them to the kitchen and print them.
How do guests pay with the to-go QR?
They order and pay from their phone, and the order arrives marked “Ordered and paid by the guest from the To-go QR code”. [confirm guest payment methods on to-go QR]
Can I turn QR ordering off for one table?
Yes. Switch it off from the order’s settings, where the table QR is shown. Dine-in QR and to-go QR each have their own on/off in location settings.
